'The Rose Charity Ball is being organised in aid of the children's heart charity, Tiny Tickers, and is being hosted by friends of 13 years, Hannah and Kelly.

The ball will take place on 17th February 2024 at The Hilton in Lincoln.

All progress and information regarding the ball is posted on our Facebook and Instagram.mopp pages under @therosecharityball. Details of the ticket release will also be published on these pages.

At 4 weeks old, Hannah's daughter, Phoebe, was unexpectedly found to have two holes in her heart. At 2.5 months old she was admitted to hospital with reduced feeding and lack of weight gain.

In the days that followed, Phoebe started to demonstrate signs of heart failure. She was in hospital for nearly 5 weeks in total, having to have a multitude of scans, blood tests, feeding through a tube due to lack of energy and constant monitoring. Thankfully, Phoebe is now doing so much better and has managed to avoid heart surgery.

Tiny Tickers are an incredible charity that aims to improve the early detection of heart conditions in babies as it is known that spotting a defect early can improve a baby’s chances of survival and long-term quality of life. Through their sonographer training programme, Tiny Tickers have helped the national average antenatal detection rate to more than double.

They continue to place pulse oximetry meters in hospitals across the UK and provide invaluable support to families. As a charity, they are helping to save babies lives across the country and they need financial support to do this, which is why we are so passionate to help them.

We are currently looking for businesses that might be able to provide sponsorship donations towards the costs of the ball.

In addition to this, we are reaching out to businesses that might be able to donate a prize towards the raffle that we will be running or item that could be auctioned on the evening. In turn,

we hope to be able to maximise the profits of the ball so that we can donate a substantial amount to such an incredible charity.

If you feel as though you may be able to help at all, please do not hesitate to contact us at therosecharityball@outlook.com.'
