We’ll drink to that. The Dandy Lion pub re-opens and welcomes visitors in Lincoln.

Business Imp love to share news about Lincoln Businesses so we were delighted when walking down Newland, we saw a balloon arc and banner saying “Now open and under new management’ and inviting us into Lincoln's newest pub. Never one to miss some good news, Callum and Tom headed in to find out more…

The Dandy Lion Pub on Newland

After an extended closure, The Dandy Lion pub on Newland in Lincoln has finally reopened its doors bringing back the traditional pub feel in a unique and refreshing style. Before we get into what's new and improved at the pub, let's learn more about the team behind it all.

We’ve seen lots of pubs close in recent years so it’s great to see new venues like this opening. Unlike some other establishments and their owners, these guys have form for running pubs and The Business Imp took a look inside The Dandy Lion while speaking to owner Dan and Operations Manager - Jodie.

Pub group owner - Dan told Business Imp that they’re “planning on bringing back the traditional pub setting that people experienced in the 80s and 90s”. He explained that they offered something for everyone and wanted to provide a friendly and inviting venue for people to enjoy.

Jodie, the operation manager of the pub company, says “the group prides itself on offering the quintessential English pub experience, but our group caters for everyone providing venues and services for weddings, birthdays, business get-togethers as well as hosting regular evening events.”

The company is responsible for managing a handful of pubs in various local Lincolnshire locations, and they most recently took over the much loved Wagon and Horses pub in Branston prior to spotting The Dandy Lion.

They have added The Dandy Lion to their collection of other pubs in the area, including the Harrows Inn - North Hykeham, The Wishing Well - Cherry Willingham, The Chequers - Potterhanworth and finally, The Plough - Skellingthorpe.

The Newly-opened venue will be offering a traditional pub feel in a modern and trendy setting and is gearing up to offer live entertainment, giving people something extra to look forward to. Aside from hosting events such as student nights, open mic nights, pub quizzes, and comedy nights, the pub also appeals to professionals looking for a venue for a lunch meeting or business social.

We are delighted to announce that The Dandy Lion will be the venue for one of Business Imp Founder -Tom Stansfield and Professional Photographer - David Harrison’s exclusive ‘Beers ’n’ Business’ nights where Lincoln business professionals come together to catch up, make new connections and network in a relaxed setting.

Finally, the Dandy Lion pub will be offering food with things like a traditional breakfast from their team of chefs.

So, now that the doors of The Dandy Lion pub have reopened, Jodie and her team eagerly wait to welcome you. Ready to grab a pint or cocktail? Head to the Dandy Lion pub.
