Pedal power provides a big boost for local causes.

The annual C2C2C cycle ride will take place on 30th June. The event brings together brave, big-hearted folks from across Lincolnshire who’ll take on a mammoth 100-mile bike ride across the county to raise money for local charities.

Amongst the riders, members of the Stokes Tea & Coffee team will be riding as well as keeping cyclists caffeinated with coffee stations along the route too.

Nick Peel is the fourth generation to run the family firm and is current MD at Stokes Tea & Coffee, he said: “There’ll be 6 riders in our team and I’m one of them! It’s going to be a challenge, but it’s all for a really good cause. I think I’ll be stopping for quite a few coffees along the way!

“We’ve sponsored the C2C2C event for a few years now. It’s a great way of raising awareness of the fantastic charities and our beautiful county – and it also forces you to get fit too!”

The ride starts at Nettleham before taking in some of the area’s most beautiful landscapes in the Lincolnshire Wolds, then heading to the coast at Saltfleet. The exhausted riders will make their way back to Nettleham to complete the ride on the same day.

The cycling event is known as Castle 2 Coast 2 Castle, or C2C2C for short, and happens annually. Every year, each penny from rider donations goes to local charities and last year’s ride raised £30,000.

Nick added: “We’re extremely grateful for the generosity of our sponsors; Sanremo,

Fiorenzato, La Spaziale, Brew It Group and Lincoln-based, Allen Signs. Funds go to some great local causes including EDAN Lincs, Headway Lincolnshire, Just Lincolnshire and St. Barnabas Hospice.”

The Stokes team will be in their matching jerseys so look out for the super-six if you’re watching the ride and give them a wave along the way.
